Protecting your hair is easier than you think. Follow some of these common sense rules to great looking hair.

Protecting Your Hair From Chlorine Damage:

To give a long life to your hair, it is necessary to protect your hair. Your hair is likely to get ruined in a swimming pool. Chlorine in a swimming pool bleach your hair strongly, due to that your hair becomes discolored and bleached. Discolored and bleached hair looks very unattractive. You can protect your hair from chlorine of a pool by application of deep conditioners. After your swimming, it is necessary to wash your hair with apple cider vinegar followed by club soda. Apple vinegar and club soda removes excess salt and excess chlorine from your hair; this is due to the carbonation which protects your hair. Sun- rays can also damage your hair. Wearing a hat or cap in the sun can protect your hair against sun rays, however sometimes it does not look right to be wearing a hat depending upon your setting.

Protecting Your Hair From Sun Rays:

To protect your hair from sun rays, apply sunscreen on wet hair before styling. Make a sunscreen comprising a mixture of half cup of water with half teaspoon 25 SPF. This sunscreen must be applied on hair part only. If due to the sunscreen your hair becomes messy, then you can make use a high SPF factor like lip balm this can remove the messiness caused to your hair. If you are a fair-haired person or brown haired person you should the dark shade in less quantity as this can make your hair color fade. If you are a red haired, you should use a gloss treatment; this is a color locking treatment to maintain your color of hair that may fade due to sun rays.

Protecting Your Hair From Drying:

To prevent your hair from getting dried excessively by your hair dryer, appropriate setting of your dryer is essential. To set your dryer, keep your dryer in up position three inches away from your hand for 5 second; after that start and try to feel any heat on your hand, set it as per your requirements. Another alternative is keep your dryer about four inches away from a minor in high position, then direct it to the mirror and if you find any red reflection in the mirror then it is very hot, set it accordingly. To protect your hair, proper care should be taken; you should avoid stress. You should avoid using cheap shampoos or conditioners for your hair, always use high quality hair creams, shampoos or conditioners.

Protecting Your Hair From Washing the wrong way:

Do not use hot water for washing your hair; always use warm water for washing your hair. When you find excessive hair loss you should consult to your doctor or perhaps an experienced/specialist hair styler to find out the reason for hair loss and take proper treatment immediately. If you have dry hair then takes extra precaution to maintain your hair. Oily hair is not harmful but excess oil should be treated well to protect your hair. Take a balanced diet preferably protein rich foods, avoid oily or fatty food. Always keep your hair clean, don’t allow dirt or dust to come in contact with your hair. Avoid taking unnecessary medicines that causes hair loss. A little care and attention to your hair can protect your hair from any diseases and hair loss. Depending on the type of your hair, i.e. dry hair, oily hair or normal hair you should maintain your hair.
