How to Treat Oily Hair



Oily hair is caused due to the secreted excess oil from the oil glands, hence; an almost daily shampooing is required to avoid oily hair. Dirt and dust complicates oily hair. Oily hair, after washing and styling daily in the morning become dirty and stringy. This is due to the activeness of the old glands of the hair. Having an oily hair problem is really not a problem at all and this is not a matter to worry about, because oil protects the hair and makes your hair shaft strong and maintains your scalp healthy thus preventing your hair from breaking. Oily hair looks very nice if maintained properly and well. There may be many causes for oily hair; it could be heredity, hormonal fluctuations, bulking up, and hair texture etc. However oil in the hair is not produced due to improper diet. You should wash your oily hair with mild shampoo frequently. Astringent should be used on the scalp to absorb the surplus hair oil. Regularly wash your oily hair with mixture of 1 teaspoon of aloe Vera gel plus 1 tablespoon lemon juice in quarter part shampoo. Apply carrot puree for 15 minutes before washing your oily hair. It is advisable to make use of less shampoo. Wash your oily hair daily with a suitable shampoo. Using too much conditioner can also be a reason for your oily hair. If this is the case then use a light conditioner every alternate day; conditioner should be applied on the ends of the oily hair or on the needed place only. Use small quantities of conditioner. Sometimes you just have to experiment with what works best. Be sure to record what you have done and what the results have been in order to make the proper choice in treating your oily hair problem.

Thoroughly washing oily hair prevents hair from becoming oily. Some times deposition of styling products may also cause oily hair problem; to prevent this scrub your hair under the water. To prevent oily hair you should take a healthy and balanced diet, oily and fatty food should be avoided. Oily hair can also be a result of stress, avoid any emotional and mental stress. Take proper rest and be calm. Sometimes oily hair will come and go with different situations and only you can tell if it is an ongoing problem.

Conditioners and mild shampoos can be used for treating oily hair, but make sure that the shampoos and conditioners that you use do not have any harsh detergents. It is very important to only use conditioners that contain soft detergents. Salon made product can also be used for treating oily hair. The advantages of salons made products is that they give visible and quick results. Salon brand items are made without using damaging and unnecessary chemicals. Salon- made products, provide more benefits to your scalp and hair for very long time. Oily hair problem can be sorted out by having a discussion with an experienced hair stylist.
